Affiliates of the Illinois Chess Association

 

Organizations wishing to be listed here should mail an affiliation fee of $25.00 for one year (check payable to Illinois Chess Association) to the ICA Membership Secretary, Jeff Smith, 19439 Lakeside Lane, Bloomington, IL 61704. Affiliates should send a short paragraph, similar to those below, listing their organization's activities to events@ilchess.org and it will be posted as part of their affiliate listing. Changes and updates should also be sent to events@ilchess.org.

The Chicago Industrial Chess League (CICL) organizes team-chess matches between Chicago-area (downtown and suburban) commercial, governmental, and educational organizations. In addition, we have recently extended membership to area chess clubs which are identified as members of the Illinois Chess Association.

The North American Chess Association (NACA) was founded in 2006 for the purpose of furthering amateur and professional chess across the North American countries of Bermuda, Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America. In addition to furthering amateur and professional chess, NACA will lead the charge of integrating the chess communities across North America in a similiar fashion that our European counterparts have enjoyed, in order for the North American chess community to be more aligned with each other and also to be aligned with the global chess community.
